Description
Lanolin is a wax that protects sheep's wool from getting wet. It has very good care properties due to its composition similar to the lipid layer of human skin. In addition, it is a natural emulsifier. It does not dissolve in water, but is able to absorb twice its weight in water, creating a stable W/O emulsion (water in oil). Its properties as a cleansing, smoothing and moisturizing agent have been known for a long time. It penetrates well into the skin, regulates water management, softens the epidermis and reduces skin roughness. Lanolin is an emulsifier intended for very dry and dry skin.
