Elastic thumb and wrist bandage for stabilization

This elastic bandage supports damaged structures in the wrist and thumb area, such as joints, ligaments, capsules, and cartilage. Areas of application

This bandage is suitable for chronic, post-traumatic, or post-operative irritation of the thumb's carpometacarpal joint. It can be used, for example, in cases of ulnar and radial ligament laxity (ligament weakness) or incipient rhizarthrosis. Use should be according to a doctor's instructions.

Application and handling

Grasp the edge of the bandage and pull it over your hand. Insert your thumb through the designated opening, which prevents the bandage from slipping. Ensure the bandage fits snugly without constricting. If nighttime wear is recommended, regularly check that circulation is not impaired; if you experience numbness, loosen or remove the bandage. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Important information and contraindications

The bandage must not be used in cases of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), lymphatic drainage disorders, or unexplained soft tissue swelling away from the bandaged area. It is also contraindicated in cases of sensory or circulatory disturbances in the treated area, skin diseases at the affected site, and known latex allergy. This medical device is intended for the use of only one patient and must not be reused.
