Cestal Plus Flavour is recommended in dogs for the treatment of tapeworm (cestodes) and roundworm (nematodes) infestations, including:
* roundworms: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina
(adult forms and immature forms)
* strongyles: Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Uncinaria stenocephala
(adult forms)
* trichocephalidae: Trichuris vulpis
(adult forms)
* roundworms: Echinococcus spp., Taenia spp., Dipylidium caninum,
(adult forms and immature forms)

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Pyrantel-based products should be administered with caution to cachectic animals. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.

ADVERSE REACTIONS
The acute toxicity of the product is >2000 mg/kg body weight.

During animal safety tests, no clinical, haematological or biochemical adverse reactions were observed, even when three times the therapeutic doses were administered.

The product is administered orally in the following doses:
1 tablet per 10 kg body weight, which corresponds to the following amounts of active substances:
* praziquantel 5 mg/kg
* pyrantel embonate 14.4 mg/kg
* fenbendazole 20 mg/kg

Puppies and small dogs:
< 2 kg gc = 1/4 tablet
2-5 kg ​​gc = 1/2 tablet
5-10 kg gc = 1 tablet

Medium-sized dogs:
10-20 kg gc = 2 tablets
20-30 kg gc = 3 tablets

Large dogs:
30-40 kg gc = 4 tablets
40-50 kg gc = 5 tablets

RECOMMENDATIONS ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION
The tablets can be administered directly into the animal's mouth or mixed into food (a piece of meat, etc.)

A prior diet is not necessary. For general deworming, one treatment is sufficient, but in the case of a massive infestation, it is recommended to repeat the dose after 14 days.

Due to the risk of reinfestation, treatment must be repeated every 3 months.

To ensure the correct dosage, the body weight of the animals will be determined as accurately as possible.
