ConvaFoam Silicone is a sterile hydrofiber foam dressing that can be used under medical supervision to treat both exuding and non-exuding wounds. It also protects intact skin and can be used as part of pressure injury prevention. The dressing can be used as both a primary and secondary dressing, offering flexible application options in wound care.

The showerproof, breathable outer polyurethane film acts as a barrier against bacteria and viruses, thus helping to protect the wound. Inside, a soft, multi-layered absorbent wound pad made of polyurethane foam, superabsorbent fibers, and a hydrofiber wound contact layer absorbs and retains moisture, exudate, and bacteria. A perforated adhesive silicone layer allows for gentle fixation of the dressing to the skin.

Instructions for use

ConvaFoam silicone wound dressings should be used under medical supervision. The dressing is applied as a primary or secondary dressing, depending on the wound condition. It can be used on both exuding and non-exuding wounds. It can also be applied to intact skin when protection is needed, for example, to prevent pressure injuries.

The adhesive silicone layer secures the dressing to the skin, ensuring a secure fit. The waterproof outer layer protects the dressing from external moisture, while the wound pad absorbs and retains excess fluid and bacteria.
