Freka-Clyss® is a ready-to-use, single-use, saline-based enema.
The ready-to-use solution in Freka-Clyss® is hyperosmolar.
Hyperosmolar means that the salt concentration of the solution is higher than that of body fluids. This results in increased water entering the rectum after administration, significantly softening the stool.
This produces a laxative effect.
