OKKLUglas eye dressing – safe protection for the treated eye

OKKLUglas is a ready-to-use eye dressing with an adhesive strip around the perimeter and a transparent, shatterproof protective cap to cover the eye. It is used after surgical procedures, in cases of injury, or when eyelid closure is impaired. The mechanical barrier protects the eye from external influences and, thanks to the resulting moisture chamber, provides a suitable environment for eye care. Depending on the variant, OKKLUglas offers additional comfort features such as silicone adhesive, extra-large comfort patches, or ventilation openings for improved air circulation.

Areas of application

OKKLUglas is suitable for covering the eye after ptosis surgery, in cases of incomplete eyelid closure (lagophthalmos), and facial palsy. The dressing can also be used to treat injuries to the external eye and for protection after eye surgery. Variants with AERO technology allow for optimal air circulation, while AERO UV variants additionally offer mechanical and UV protection for the eye. OKKLUglas is available in various sizes and designs for adults, children, and babies.

Instructions for use

For optimal adhesion, the skin around the eye should be clean, free of oil, and dry. Bushy eyebrows can impair adhesion, so they should be carefully shaved or plucked if necessary. First, gently remove the protective film from the plaster. Place the watch-glass dressing in the center of the eye so that the shatterproof protective cap is centered over the eye and the eye itself is not covered by the plaster. With the EXTRA version, the large adhesive area faces upwards towards the eyebrow. Then, gently press the plaster onto the skin. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist regarding medication, the optimal version, and the correct size.

Important warnings

Wearing a watch glass dressing can significantly impair vision, which can particularly affect the ability to drive. The dressing must not be applied to broken skin or mucous membranes. OKKLUglas should not be used if you have a known allergy to or intolerance to adhesives. Due to the risk of increased bacterial contamination and the potential loss of complete adhesion, the product is intended for single use only. Serious incidents related to the product should be reported to the manufacturer or the relevant authority.
