Paduden Rapid Forte 400 mg, 10 tablets, Terapia

PADUDEN Rapid Forte is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of:

• mild to moderate pain such as headache
• migraine
• toothache
• dysmenorrhea
• muscle pain
• back pain
• rheumatic pain
• fever
• fever and symptoms of cold and flu.

For rheumatic pain, the medicine should only be used on the recommendation of a doctor.

PADUDEN Rapid Forte is indicated for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age and with a body weight of at least 40 kg.

Active ingredients:

• Contains ibuprofen lysinate which is the lysine salt of ibuprofen
• Each film-coated tablet contains ibuprofen 400 mg (equivalent to 684 mg ibuprofen lysinate).

How to use:

• This medicine is for short-term use only
• You should take the lowest dose for the shortest time necessary to relieve your symptoms
• Use in adults and adolescents weighing more than 40 kg (12 years and over)
• Take 1 tablet with water, up to three times a day, as needed
• Leave at least six hours between doses
• Do not take more than three tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen) in 24 hours
• Children and adolescents: Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years and adolescents weighing less than 40 kg
• PADUDEN Rapid Forte has a median tear line on one side. The tear line is only to help you break the tablet if you have difficulty swallowing it whole
• Duration of treatment: If in children and adolescents aged 12 to 18 years this medicine is needed for more than 3 days or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted
• In adults, a doctor should be consulted if symptoms persist or worsen or if the use of this medicine is needed for more than 5 days to treat pain and more than 3 days to treat migraine or fever.

Contraindications:

Do not take PADUDEN Rapid Forte:

• if you are allergic to ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid or other painkillers, or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
• if you have had difficulty breathing, bronchial asthma, runny nose, swelling or hives after using acetylsalicylic acid or similar painkillers (NSAIDs)
• if you have (or have had two or more episodes of) gastric/duodenal ulcer or haemorrhage
• if you have had gastrointestinal bleeding or gastrointestinal perforation, related to previous use of NSAIDs
• if you suffer from severe heart failure, severe liver failure or severe kidney failure
• if you suffer from blood formation disorders of unspecified cause
• if you have severe dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhoea or insufficient fluid intake)
• if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
• if you are an adolescent weighing less than 40 kg or under 12 years of age.

Precautions:

Before taking PADUDEN Rapid Forte, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, fertility and breast-feeding:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
• Do not take this medicine if you have been pregnant in the last 3 months of pregnancy
• Avoid using this medicine during the first 6 months of pregnancy unless your doctor advises otherwise
• Ibuprofen and its degradation products pass into breast milk only in small amounts
• This medicine can be taken during breast-feeding, provided it is used at the recommended dose and for the shortest possible time
• PADUDEN Rapid Forte belongs to a group of medicines that can affect fertility in women. This effect is reversible after stopping treatment.
