Properties:
- consists of a transparent adhesive dressing and an integrated layer of gel containing 2% chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG), a renowned antiseptic agent with a wide spectrum of antimicrobial and antifungal activity;

- the 3M™ Tegaderm™ CHG dressing is transparent, which helps to continuously monitor the location and allows the area to breathe, ensuring an optimal exchange of moisture vapors;
- in vitro tests indicate that the transparent layer of the Tegaderm CHG dressing provides a barrier against viruses with a diameter of 27nm or larger, and the dressing remains intact, without leaks;
- used to cover and protect the catheter insertion areas and to fix the devices on the skin;
- frequent uses include securing and covering central venous and arterial catheters, intravenous catheters, other intravascular catheters and devices with percussive action;
- can be used to reduce skin and catheter colonization;
- can be used to suppress the redevelopment of microorganisms usually associated with infections in the bloodstream;
- aims to reduce catheter-associated bloodstream infections (CRBSI) in patients with central venous catheters or arterial catheters.
