Bad cholesterol has two possible origins:

- The one we obtain through diet (exogenous).

AQUILEA Cholesterol is a formula based on plant-based active ingredients that acts on three main fronts:

1. Plant sterols: which lower blood cholesterol by reducing the absorption of exogenous cholesterol.

2. Red yeast rice, a source of Monacolin K which helps maintain normal cholesterol levels by participating in the synthesis of endogenous cholesterol.

3. Vitamin E, which helps protect against oxidative damage. Hydroxytyrosol derived from olives.

A high cholesterol level is a risk factor in the development of coronary heart disease.
The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 1.5 to 3 grams of sterols.
The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 10mg of Monacolin K from red yeast rice fermentadis preparations.
