Enterol 250 mg, 20 capsules, Biocodex is a probiotic that is administered in the treatment of diarrhea. Indications: treatment of acute infectious diarrhea in adults and children; prevention and treatment of colitis and diarrhea caused by antibiotic use; in combination with vancomycin/metronidazole, to prevent the recurrence of diseases caused by Clostridium difficile; prevention of diarrhea caused by enteral nutrition; treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. Administration: The recommended dose is 1-2 Enterol 250 capsules, 1-2 times a day. The capsules can be swallowed with water or opened by pouring the contents into a little sweetened soft drink (sugar must be boiled) or food or, as appropriate, into a baby bottle. Precautions and contraindications: Contraindications hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product; patients with a central venous catheter. Precautions: Enterol 250 contains live cells. This medicine should therefore not be combined with very hot (over 50 degreesC) or very cold drinks or food or with ethyl alcohol. Possible side effects: Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 is a living organism associated with a risk of systemic fungal infection: rare cases of fungemia have been reported in seriously ill, hospitalized patients, most often for gastrointestinal diseases, with a central venous catheter. Pregnancy and lactation: In animal studies, no teratogenic potential has been demonstrated. To date, no fetotoxic or malformative effects have been reported in the clinic. Due to insufficient data, it is recommended to avoid the use of this medicine during pregnancy and lactation. Composition: One capsule contains lyophilized Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 282.5 mg (contains lyophilized cells of Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 250 mg) and excipients: lyophilizate: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate; capsule: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171).
