Thermometer with gallium (galinstan) without mercury, Ecotemp, Medel

A mercury-free medical thermometer is a type of device for measuring a patient's temperature orally, axillaryly, or rectally.

Terms of use:
The temperature measurement range should be between 35℃ and 42℃, and the ambient temperature should be between 20℃ and 30℃; if the storage temperature is lower than 20℃, please place the thermometers in a room with a temperature between 20℃ and 30℃ for at least 1-2 hours or between 30℃ and 35℃ for ten minutes before use or testing.
The temperature should be lower than 42℃ when stored and transported;

Resetting the thermometer:
After use, shake the thermometer so that the metallic liquid reaches the bottom, then clean it and place it in the protective plastic case to avoid any damage.

Shaking warning:
Hold the end of the thermometer firmly with your thumb and forefinger and carefully shake the thermometer gently several times until the liquid reaches the bottom.

How to use:

1. The liquid column must drop below the mark with the lowest number on the thermometer scale before use, then the medical thermometer is cleaned and disinfected in medical alcohol or placed in a disinfected plastic tube.
2. When used orally - the medical thermometer is placed under the patients' tongue, and they must keep their mouths closed.
3. For rectal use - a small amount of lubricating cream is applied to the medical thermometer before inserting it into the rectum.
4. When using under the armpit - the medical thermometer is placed in the armpit, and patients should keep their arm as close to the body as possible.

Precautions!

1. Warn patients about chewing, talking, and playing when medical thermometers are applied under the tongue.
2. Sick children should be kept still and you should hold the end of the rectal thermometer in case it is inserted too deeply or slips out of the rectum.
3. Avoid bathing, eating, or smoking for half an hour before measuring your body temperature.
4. It is not designed for special applications (e.g. thermometers for premature babies, ovulation thermometers).
5. The metallic liquid is an alloy made up of gallium, indium and tin, so this medical thermometer must be handled with care.
6. If medical thermometers are broken, clean the spilled metallic liquid with a damp cloth and soap.
