Mucosolvan Adults, 100 ml, Sanofi

Indications:
Ambroxol, the active ingredient in Mucosolvan, increases mucus secretion from the respiratory tract, facilitates expectoration and relieves coughing.
Mucosolvan is indicated as a secretolytic in the treatment of acute bronchial diseases and exacerbation episodes of bronchopneumopathy or other chronic bronchopulmonary diseases associated with abnormal mucus secretion and impaired mucus transport.

Composition/100g syrup:
- The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride. 5 ml of syrup contains 30 mg ambroxol.
- The other ingredients are: sucralose, benzoic acid, hydroxyethylcellulose, strawberry flavor PHL-132 200, vanilla flavor PHL-114481, purified water.

Method of administration:
One measuring spoon contains 5 ml of syrup (30 mg ambroxol hydrochloride).
The recommended dose is:
- Adults and adolescents (children over 12 years of age): 10 ml Mucosolvan 30mg/5 ml syrup (2 measuring spoons) 2 times a day.
This regimen is recommended in the treatment of acute respiratory diseases and for initiating treatment of chronic diseases for a maximum of 14 days.
- Children: the following doses are recommended depending on the severity of the condition:
- Children between 6 and 12 years old: 5 ml Mucosolvan syrup 30mg/5 ml 2-3 times a day.
- Children between 2 and 5 years old: 2.5 ml Mucosolvan 30mg/5 ml syrup 3 times a day.
- Children between 1 and 2 years old: 2.5 ml Mucosolvan 30mg/5 ml syrup 2 times a day.
For children, Mucosolvan 15 mg/ml, syrup, is available and recommended.

Contraindications:
Do not take Mucosolvan
- if you are allergic to ambroxol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Mucosolvan.
- If you have impaired kidney function or severe liver disease.
There have been reports of severe skin reactions associated with the use of ambroxol hydrochloride. If you develop a rash (including lesions of the mucous membranes, such as the oral, pharyngeal, nasal, ocular and genital mucosa), stop taking Mucosolvan and consult a doctor immediately.
