Eye Protection for Dogs and Cats

Nutritional supplement dedicated to cats and dogs, specially created to combat eye diseases and vision disorders. Its antioxidant compounds are very effective in combating degenerative diseases of the retina - glaucoma, cataracts - that occur as a result of diabetes or insulin treatment.

1.Ingredients:

Taurine 250 mg, Ascorbic acid 50 mg, Orange bioflavonoids 35 mg, Grape seed extract 20 mg, Alpha-lipoic acid 15 mg, Blackcurrant extract (25% anthocyanosides) 10 mg, Zinc (gluconate) 2 mg, Lutein 6 mg, Seleniummethionine 0.1 mg.

2. Indications/ Properties:

Taurine – is an amino acid derived from cysteine, essential in the biochemistry of muscle cells. Beneficial effect on microangiopathies. It is especially essential in the diet of cats - taurine deficiency can lead to retinal degeneration, blindness or dilated cardiomyopathy. By supplementation it combats systolic dysfunction.

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Bioflavonoids from Citrus sinensis, Grape Seed Extract – have the highest level of antioxidant action to combat degenerative eye diseases, such as cataracts or glaucoma. Vitamin C neutralizes free radicals involved in inflammatory processes.

Alpha-lipoic acid – the universal antioxidant – its antioxidant action recycles other antioxidants. It is a molecule soluble in both water and fat, which allows it to act both at the level of cell walls and inside the cell. It is particularly indicated for reducing the side effects caused by insulin administration or improper management of diabetes (diabetic retinopathies). It is widely used in the treatment of cataracts and glaucoma.

Ribes nigrum extract - the antioxidants in this natural extract work to improve blood microcirculation in the blood vessels of the retina, stimulate the formation of new capillaries, reduce fragility and maintain their integrity. They accelerate the regeneration of cells responsible for night vision and have antioxidant action on free radicals that damage the lens. Zinc - The retina and choroid contain the highest concentration of zinc in the body. Zinc intake is extremely important for maintaining eye health, and its deficiencies are directly proportional to the diseases that occur in the retina.

Lutein - the yellow pigment belongs to the xanthophyll group. It is extracted from various plants, algae and photosynthetic bacteria. It has a recognized action for preventing and hindering the development of cataracts.

Selenium - the antioxidant mineral is essential in the production of glutathione, the antioxidant that has the highest concentration in the lens.
