Protego Simeticon Max is a medical device in the form of soft capsules, intended for use in situations associated with excessive accumulation of gas and air in the gastrointestinal tract.

Each capsule contains 240 mg of simethicone, a surfactant that facilitates the fusion and rupture of gas bubbles, supporting their natural elimination from the body.

Simethicone does not react chemically, is pharmacologically and physiologically inert, and its effects are limited to the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, Protego Simeticon Max can be used both as an emergency treatment and as an adjunct in preparation for abdominal diagnostic tests.

Indications:

• Protego Simeticon Max is intended to relieve feelings of fullness, bloating, belching, and discomfort associated with excessive gas and air accumulation in the gastrointestinal tract
• The product can also be used as a supportive preparation for abdominal diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, endoscopy, radiography, or colonoscopy.

Ingredients:

• The Protego SIMETICON MAX medical device contains 240 mg of simethicone in a soft gelatin capsule
• The capsule shell contains: porcine gelatin, glycerol.

How to use:

For occasional use – for gas symptoms

• Adults: 1 capsule 2–4 times daily, maximum 4 capsules daily
• Adolescents 12–18 years: 1 capsule daily
• Take the capsules orally before or after a meal with a glass of water
• Consumption of carbonated beverages is not recommended during use.

Preparation for diagnostic tests

• Adults: 1 capsule in the evening on the day before the test and 1 capsule in the morning on an empty stomach on the day of the test
• Adolescents 12–18 years: same schedule as above – 1 capsule each
• Pregnant women – use only after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings: 

• Store in the original packaging at a temperature of 15–25ºC
• Keep out of the reach and sight of children
• Do not use the product after the expiration date printed on the blister and outer packaging.
