Carum Carvi suppositories 10 St
Description
Carum Carvi suppositories
Carum Carvi suppositories are a suppository product from Stiftsapotheke Gall - Reidlinger OHG.
Aromatic caraway (Carum carvi L.), also known as common caraway, meadow caraway, or field caraway, is a plant species from the Apiaceae family. Primarily the dark, crescent-shaped, ripe fruits of the biennial plant are used. Caraway originated in Eurasia. Today, however, almost exclusively the cultivated plant is used. Caraway is also a popular spice in home cooking. However, its distinctive, spicy-aromatic flavor is not very appealing to many people. Its constituents include essential oil (with the main component (+)-carvone, limonene) and fatty oil (triacylglycerides). The mildly spicy-tasting essential oil of caraway is said to have primarily spasmolytic, carminative, and antimicrobial effects. Accordingly, it has long been used for mild spasmodic complaints of the gastrointestinal tract, flatulence, and bloating. Caraway suppositories containing essential caraway oil are primarily used for flatulence in babies.
