Active gel dressing for dogs, cats and horses Polisept Vet Wound Gel Silver Pro, 30 ml, JM Sante

Properties:
- it is hydrocolloid for use on all types of wounds;
- it is applied as an adjuvant in the care and treatment of surgical wounds, cuts and scratches, acute infected and sterile wounds, chronic wounds (eschars, ulcerations of various origins), superficial and deep wounds (lacerations, bite wounds with indentations and pockets), burns grade 1 and 2;
- hydrates and maintains the correct moisture of the wounds (that is, the appropriate water balance);
- clean contaminated wounds: remove biological contamination, such as necrotic tissue debris and clots;
- removes the bacterial biofilm, as well as inorganic contaminations, such as, for example, dressing fragments.

How to use:
Before applying the gel, it is recommended to clean and decontaminate the wound using wound irrigation solutions such as POLISEPT VET Wound Irrigation SILVER PRO (depending on the type and stage of the wound), as well as surgical debridement, if necessary.
Apply a thin layer of gel (3-5 mm) from the tube directly to the wound (or spread it over the wound with a sterile spatula).
In the case of deep wounds, cover the wound with gel 2/3 of its depth, so that the gel does not spill onto the surface of the skin around the wound.
Cover the wound with a secondary dressing.
If the gel is changed daily in the wound, a secondary dressing is not necessary.

Dressing change:
The frequency of dressing changes depends on the treatment adopted, the type and condition of the wound. The gel can be changed daily or left in the wound for up to 3 days.
During the dressing change, gel residues and other residues should be gently washed away (so as not to affect the wound) with POLISEPT VET Wound Irrigation SILVER PRO, depending on the condition of the wound.

Active ingredients:
Antimicrobial polyhexanide (PHMB) and betaine surfactant.

Precautions:
Intended exclusively for external use.
Do not apply in case of confirmed hypersensitivity (intolerance) to any of the ingredients.
Do not apply to articular cartilage and central nervous system.
