Description
Alopexia is a medicine dedicated to men suffering from baldness. The indication for the use of Alopexa is male androgenetic alopecia (androgenetic alopecia) of moderate severity. 1 ml of solution contains 50 mg of minoxidil - an active substance that, when applied locally to the scalp, stimulates the growth of keratinocytes and hair growth. Alopexia is applied to the bald area and spread with the fingertips over the entire surface of the treated skin. Hair growth usually occurs about 2 months after the start of treatment, but it depends on the systematic use of the product and the individual characteristics of the patient. After local administration, minoxidil is absorbed to a small extent - on average, 1.7% of the applied dose enters the systemic circulation. Alopecia is not recommended for women due to limited effectiveness and the appearance of excessive hair growth outside the application areas.
Alopexia belongs to a group of dermatological drugs. It comes as a clear, light yellow solution for topical application to the skin. The Alopexy package contains 3 bottles equipped with a dosing pump with an applicator for more convenient application of the drug.
