Ambroxol oral solution 0.3%, 100 ml, Tis Farmaceutic

Indications:
Ambroxol 0.3% belongs to the group: cough medicines, mucolytics
Treatment of bronchial secretion disorders (viscous sputum), especially in acute bronchial diseases and exacerbations of chronic bronchopneumopathy.
It can be administered pre- and postoperatively to prevent respiratory complications.

Composition:
- The active substance is soft extract of ivy leaf. 1 ml (= 31 drops) contains: 40 mg soft extract of Hedera helix L., folium (ivy leaf) (2.2-2.9:1). The extraction solvents are ethanol 50 % (v/v) and propylene glycol (98:2 m/m).
- The other components are: propylene glycol, glycerol, flavors: volatile oil of Anisi stellati fructus, eucalyptus oil, levomenthol, water-soluble mint oil.
The finished product does not contain alcohol.

Method of administration:
One measuring spoon of Ambroxol 0.3%, oral solution (5 ml) contains 15 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.
Children under 2 years old - the recommended dose is half a teaspoon 2 times a day.
Children between 2-5 years old - the recommended dose is half a teaspoon 3 times a day.
Children between 5-12 years old - the recommended dose is 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day.
Children over 12 years of age and adults - the recommended dose is 2 teaspoons 2-3 times a day.
Unless otherwise recommended, the duration of treatment will not exceed 4-5 days. The duration of treatment will be determined by the specialist.

Contraindications:
Do not use Ambroxol 0.3% if you are allergic to ambroxol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Ambroxol 0.3%, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Ambroxol hydrochloride should be administered with caution in patients with severe liver disease or renal failure.
Ambroxol hydrochloride should be administered with caution to patients with disorders of the bronchial secretion elimination mechanism (immobile cilia syndrome) or to those with mucus hypersecretion, due to
risk of bronchial congestion.
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, please contact him/her before taking this medicine.
There have been reports of severe skin reactions associated with the administration of ambroxol hydrochloride.
If you develop a skin rash (including mucosal lesions such as oral, pharyngeal, nasal, ocular and genital mucosa), stop taking ambroxol hydrochloride and consult a doctor immediately.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Animal studies have not shown teratogenic effects, therefore, a malformative effect is not expected following administration to pregnant women. Insufficient clinical studies do not rule out

Driving and using machines:
Ambroxol does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
