2. Amla is a powder obtained from the fruit of the Emblica Officinalis tree. Amla fruit, also known as Indian gooseberry, is an edible fruit extremely rich in vitamin C. Not only the fruit, but all other parts of the plant are widely used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine for therapeutic purposes and as a tea cure general tonic, refreshing and purifying. The vitamin C content of the Amla fruit is 20 times higher than that of the orange and is very well absorbed. Thanks to them, modern science recognizes the effects of amla on human health. Fresh or dried fruit is used in cosmetics.

It is not recommended to combine with black henna (indigo), because the acidic environment reduces its effect.
