^Apap® Cold Max is a combined drug in powder form in sachets for the preparation of an oral solution. Each sachet of medicine contains three active substances - paracetamol, caffeine and phenylephrine, thanks to which the medicine has analgesic and antipyretic effects .

The analgesic effect of paracetamol is similar to that of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), but unlike drugs in this group, paracetamol does not have anti-inflammatory effects and does not cause typical NSAID side effects. The onset of the analgesic effect of paracetamol is observed as early as 15 minutes after its administration. Caffeine has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, which causes a subjective feeling of relief from fatigue, improvement of coordination and speed of association. In turn, phenylephrine stimulates the receptors located in the smooth muscle of the arterioles of the venous sinuses of the nasal mucosa and paranasal sinuses, resulting in their contraction and reduction of swelling and congestion of the mucous membrane.

When to use ^Apap® Cold Max sachets?

The indication for the use ^{of Apap®} Cold Max is the short-term symptomatic treatment of conditions related to rhinitis and sinusitis, such as:

• nasal and sinus congestion,
• congestion and swelling of the nasal mucosa,
• nasal congestion,
• rhinitis,
• headache,
• pain related to sinus congestion and fever,
• feeling generally down and tired.

Apap ^® Cold Max sachets are suitable for use in colds and flu in adults and children over 12 years of age. After dissolving the powder in water, the liquid takes the form of an opalescent, yellow solution with a characteristic mint-lemon smell.
