Apricot oil is a light oil, appreciated for its regenerating, illuminating, moisturizing, skin rejuvenating and revitalizing effect, used in numerous cosmetic products for dry, wrinkled, dull or mature skin.

Apricot is a very widespread fruit tree and known all over the world. It belongs to the rosaceae family, the Prunus genus, it is a relatively small tree, with a height of 8-12 meters. The pink flowers enchant spring with their inviting smell. The apricot has been known in Armenia for hundreds of years and has been cultivated there for so long that it is considered to be native to Armenia (hence the botanical name), while other sources mention its origin in China.

The oil extracted from apricot kernels has a light texture, penetrates well into the skin and does not leave a greasy film. It is considered a universal ingredient, being part of the composition of numerous cosmetic products for beautifying and caring for the skin and body.

Method of obtaining:
By cold pressing the pits from the ripe fruits.

Characteristics:

• Clear yellowish liquid, low viscosity, slightly characteristic smell.
• On the skin - fast absorption, dry feeling.

Ingredients (INCI):
Prunus armeniaca kernel oil*

Properties:

• as such or as an ingredient included in neck and décolleté care compositions;
• as an ingredient in body creams, body milk;
• as an ingredient in creams and lotions before or after tanning;
• as an ingredient in eye contour serums or creams.

Combinations:

• combined with jojoba or macadamia oil for mixed/oily skin;
• combined with rosa mosqueta, borage and fig oil for dry, mature skin;
• combined with carrot, sea buckthorn and calendula oil to prepare the skin for sun exposure;
• combined with cocoa butter or shea butter for very dry skin care;
• with murumuru butter for hand care;
• with squalane and daisy oil for firming facial massage;
• with white lily oil to lighten the complexion.
