Frankincense essential oil (M - 1228), 5 ml, Mayam

It is a precious essence with recognized therapeutic properties, used in cosmetics, aromatherapy and perfumery. It is considered to be a mystical oil used for spiritual elevation. It stimulates the immune system and revitalizes the skin.

Boswellia carteri is a shrub with abundant feathery leaves and white or pale pink flowers. When the bark of the shrub is cut, the tree secretes a resin to heal the wound. The spilled liquid hardens in the air in a few weeks.

Frankincense is also known as Frankincense or Olibanum. Many resins are called incense, but the real one is obtained from the Boswellia karterii tree.
The extracted resin has been used since ancient times in religious rituals to make sacrifices to the gods, to fumigate the sick, to ward off evil spirits.

Frankincense calms the mind, helps with deep breathing, is excellent for use in meditation. It helps alleviate anxiety and relieve obsessive states related to the past. In ancient Egypt, women used frankincense along with myrrh in skin rejuvenation masks.

Method of obtaining:
By steam distillation from tree resin.

Characteristics:
Clear brown liquid.
Olfactory description - balsamic, sweet-spicy, rich aroma with oriental notes.

Ingredients (INCI):
Boswellia carterii oil.

Properties :
- cicatrizing and skin regenerator;
- anti-aging;
- anti-stretch marks;
- tonic, astringent;
- stimulant of the immune system, energizing;
- antidepressant, reduces nervous tension.

Recommendations for use:
- mature, wrinkled, aging skin;

Mode of use in cosmetics and aromatherapy:
- it is not used as such on the skin, only as an ingredient in cosmetic, aromatherapeutic and perfumery preparations;
- usual dosage recommended in cosmetic compositions: 0.5-2%;
- 1-3 drops of essential oil added to 10 ml of vegetable oil or a mix of vegetable oils, as a face serum;
- 30-60 drops in 100 ml of vegetable oil or butter, for applications on the body;
- as an ingredient in the preparation of creams, balms, ointments, massage oils;
- as an ingredient for perfuming cosmetics, including men's;
- as an ingredient in chest ointments to improve the functions of the respiratory tract;
- diluted in vegetable oil, applied by massaging along the spine;
- diffused in the rooms with the aromatherapy lamp/candle, together with other essential oils;
- as an essence with base notes for the preparation of perfumes.
