Petra O.From our personal experience only positive things. My daughter's digestion has improved thanks to milk. It smells nice and the kids (twins) really like it. the best ;)
Lucy K.Babybio Caprea 2 suits us very well. I would definitely recommend this premium product to any babies who either have a cow protein allergy or just have a sensitive tummy like us.
Why goat milk?
Why is goat's milk better for baby's digestion compared to cow's milk?
Goat's milk differs from cow's milk in many key areas. Let's take a closer look at the key ones.
Fat in milk
- The size and structure of the fat molecules in goat's milk are more similar to breast milk
- Compared to cow's milk, the fat molecules in goat's milk are smaller (similar to breast milk)
Milk proteins
- Some children may suffer from reduced tolerance or direct allergy to so-called cow proteins"
- Milk proteins are composed of caseins. One of them, namely alpha S 1 casein , is why children (and adults) with more sensitive digestion can have problems after consuming cow's milk or cow's milk products.
- Cow's milk contains a higher proportion of alpha S 1 casein
- Goat's milk contains a minimum of alpha S 1 casein , on the contrary, it provides a higher proportion of alpha S 2 casein , which generally does not cause digestive problems
- Therefore, goat's milk in its natural form can be called A2 milk and very often it can also be suitable in the case of a reduced tolerance to "cow protein".
Milk oligosaccharides
- The composition and concentration of oligosaccharides in goat milk are more similar to oligosaccharides in breast milk (compared to cow's milk)
Why is goat's milk more expensive than cow's milk?
A goat can produce about 3 kg of milk per day. This is only one tenth of what an average cow milks. Another reason is the costs associated with organic farming and producing quality milk in organic quality.
The milk for the Caprea infant formula range comes from local French organic farms.
Details about the CAPREA series
- Does not contain palm or coconut oil. As a rule, we do not use palm kernel oil in our milk. They are too rich in NA saturated fatty acids (fats), which the child's body cannot process in an adequate amount
- Instead, we use cold-pressed organic vegetable oils. Thanks to the slow cold-pressing process, these oils retain valuable nutrients and vitamins. They are particularly rich in UNSATURATED Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. These acids play an important role in the child's metabolism. Since the human body cannot create them on its own, it is important to get them in the form of food
- Babybio CAPREA contains DHA and ARA . These are the unsaturated fatty acids omega 3 and omega 6, which play a key role, for example, in the development of the senses and the nervous system. The mutual combination of both, i.e. DHA and ARA , works more effectively in the body than when DHA alone is present.
The lactose in CAPREA goat's milk comes from goat's milk, not cow's milk . In the case of Babybio, it is of course organic goat lactose.
