Before first use, wash the filter bottle (without the MicroDisc filter disc) with water and a mild detergent or in the dishwasher.
Before using the Brita MicroDisc for the first time, rinse both sides of the disc thoroughly under running warm water for about 30 seconds to remove any activated carbon particles and increase the water flow through the filter.
Remove the bottle cap, unscrew the disc cap and insert the disc.
Screw the disc cover back on.

Fill the bottle with tap water - the active filter bottle is ready to use.
If the filter bottle will not be used for a long time, please disassemble it and store it in a dry place.

The Brita active filter bottle can only be used for cold tap water (from 4°C to 40°C) from your local water source.
MicroDisc is a natural product, so this can cause small carbon particles to enter the glass and filtered water. These particles do not have a negative impact on health. If swallowed, they will not harm health. If you notice carbon particles, it is recommended to thoroughly rinse the MicroDisc filter on both sides.
Brita recommends replacing the MicroDisc filter disc every 4 weeks. In some regions, tap water containing particles can significantly reduce water flow. In such cases, it is recommended to replace the MicroDisc more often.
Spare MicroDisc filters should be stored in a cool, dry place away from moisture.
Used MicroDisc glass and filters should be disposed of with municipal waste.
