Calcium Osteo 1000mg, 30 chewable tablets, Sandoz

Indications:
- to prevent and treat calcium and vitamin D deficiency in the elderly;
- as adjunctive treatment with calcium and vitamin D in osteoporosis (brittle bones).

Do not use Calcium Sandoz Osteo:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to calcium, vitamin D3 or any of the other components of Calciu Sandoz Osteo
- if you have high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcaemia)
- if you have increased excretion of calcium in the urine (hypercalciuria)
- if you have overactivity of the parathyroid glands (hyperparathyroidism)
- if you have cancer of the bone marrow (myeloma)
- if you have a type of cancer that can affect your bones (bone metastases)
- if you have immobilized extremities (prolonged immobilization) accompanied by hypercalcemia and/or hypercalciuria
- if you have kidney stones (nephrolithiasis)
- if you have calcium deposits in the kidneys (nephrocalcinosis)
- if you have an excess of vitamin D in your blood (hypervitaminosis D)
- if you have severe kidney problems

Composition:
- The active substances are calcium and cholecalciferol. Each chewable tablet contains calcium carbonate 2500 mg (equivalent to calcium 1000 mg) and cholecalciferol concentrate powder 8.8 mg (equivalent to cholecalciferol 22 micrograms = vitamin D3 880 IU)
- The other components are: isomalt (E 953), xylitol, sorbitol (E 420), anhydrous citric acid, sodium dihydrogen citrate, magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, orange flavor "CPB" (contains concentrated natural orange oil, natural oil /natural tangerine flavor, natural liquid flavor/natural tropical fruit flavor, natural solid flavor/natural multifruit flavor, mannitol (E 421), maltodextrin, gluconolactone, sorbitol (E 420) and orange flavor "CVT" (contains oil natural orange, natural mandarin oil, powder with identical natural orange flavor, mannitol (E 421), gluconolactone, sorbitol (E 420), medium chain triglycerides), aspartame (E 951), acesulfame potassium, sodium ascorbate, alpha tocopherol, modified corn starch, sugar, medium chain triglycerides, silicon dioxide
colloidal anhydrous

Mode of administration:
The tablets should be chewed before being swallowed. They can be taken at any time, with or without food.
