Symptomatic treatment of pain of mild to moderate intensity, including different types of headache such as migraine headache and constrictive headache, dental algae, sinus pain, otalgia, neuralgia and dysmenorrhea.

Treatment of febrile conditions, sore throats and relief of cold and flu symptoms.

Codeine is indicated in patients over 12 years of age for the treatment of moderate acute pain, which is not considered to be relieved by other analgesics, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen (alone).

Administration method:

Adults, elderly:

• Depending on the therapeutic indication, the recommended dose is 1 - 2 Codamin P tablets
• if necessary, the dose can be repeated at intervals of 4-6 hours
• The maximum daily dose of 7 Codamin P tablets must not be exceeded (the maximum dose of codeine phosphate must not exceed 240 mg)
• Tablets should be administered with a glass of water or other liquids
• Duration of treatment should be limited to 3 days, and if effective pain relief is not achieved, patients/carers should be advised to consult a doctor.

Children and adolescents:

• Adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18
• Depending on the therapeutic indication, the recommended dose is 1 - 2 Codamin P tablets; if necessary, the dose can be repeated at 6-hour intervals
• The maximum daily dose of 7 Codamin P tablets should not be exceeded.

Children under 12 years of age:

• Codeine should not be used in children under 12 years of age due to the risk of opioid toxicity due to the variable and unpredictable metabolism of codeine to morphine.
