Colodrix ^® entero SR is a food for special medical purposes in the form of capsules containing microencapsulated sodium butyrate and lactoferrin.

Butyric acid is a short-chain fatty acid produced naturally in the large intestine during bacterial fermentation of food components. Lactoferrin (LF) is a component found in milk and mammalian body fluids. Each capsule of ^Colodrix® entero SR contains 400 mg of sodium butyrate (including 310 mg of butyric acid) and 75 mg of lactoferrin.

When to use Colodrix ^® entero SR?

Colodrix ^® entero SR is intended for the dietary management of functional intestinal diseases, non-specific inflammatory bowel diseases, diverticular diseases, intestinal inflammations after chemotherapy and radiotherapy, as well as in disorders of the composition of the intestinal microbiota and of various origins.

The preparation is intended for use by adults and children from the age of 7. The package contains 30 extended-release capsules.
