Description
The drug is a vasoprotector. It increases the tension of the vein wall and the resistance of the blood capillaries.
It is used in adults:
- for the treatment of symptoms related to chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs: feeling of heavy legs, swelling of the legs, pain, nocturnal leg cramps,
- for the treatment of functional symptoms related to an acute hemorrhoidal episode, such as pain, bleeding, and swelling in the rectal area.
Mode of use
Dosage and dosage regimens
Chronic venous insufficiency: 1 tablet 2 times a day (at lunch and in the evening).
Acute hemorrhoidal episode: 6 tablets a day (3 tablets twice a day) for 4 days, then 4 tablets a day (2 tablets twice a day) for 3 days. The treatment for this indication is of short duration, i.e. 15 days
Mode of use
Tablets are taken whole, with food and liquid.
Warning
It is better to avoid using the drug during pregnancy. The medicine should not be used during breastfeeding. Safety and efficacy of the drug in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. The use in the pediatric population is not recommended. The treatment is more effective if it is supplemented with an appropriate and balanced lifestyle (it is necessary to avoid movement in the sun, prolonged standing, excess weight. Walking helps to increase circulation and in some cases, wearing special stockings). Other special warnings are listed in the SPC (section 4.4).
