Description
Diclofenac MCC, 50 mg/g gel, 40 g, Magistra
Diclofenac MCC contains the active substance diclofenac, which is part of the class of drugs known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for local use.
It is used in the local symptomatic treatment of adults to reduce pain and inflammation:
- muscular or osteoarticular of rheumatic origin
- in the case of postoperative and post-traumatic edema (e.g. sprains)
- muscular or osteoarticular of traumatic nature (mild trauma of tendons, muscles, ligaments, etc.).
Composition:
- The active substance is diclofenac sodium
- One gram of gel contains diclofenac sodium 50 mg
- The other ingredients are: ethanol 96%, propylene glycol, caprylyl caproate of macrogolglycerides, hypromellose, levomenthol, purified water.
How to use:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure
Diclofenac MCC is intended for use on the skin.
Adults:
- Diclofenac MCC is applied 3-4 times a day to the affected area. The dose administered with each application varies depending on the surface of the affected area, being approximately 2-4 g of gel (corresponding to approximately 5-10 cm of gel)
- To achieve absorption of the gel, perform a light and prolonged massage on the painful and/or inflamed area
- After each application, wash your hands thoroughly (except when the gel is used for localized arthrosis of the fingers).
Use in children and adolescents:
- Diclofenac MCC is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 14 years of age due to a lack of data on safety and efficacy in this age group
- In adolescents aged 14 years and over, if symptoms worsen, the patient/parents of the adolescent are/are advised to consult a doctor
- If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions:
Before using Diclofenac MCC, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
- During the first 5 months of pregnancy, you can use Diclofenac MCC only on doctor's advice, if absolutely necessary. Starting from the 6th month, you should not use Diclofenac MCC
- Since it is possible that diclofenac in gel form is absorbed into the blood and reaches breast milk, in nursing women, a decision must be made whether to discontinue breast-feeding or to discontinue/abstain from Diclofenac MCC therapy, taking into account the benefit of breast-feeding for the child and the benefit of therapy for the woman.
Driving and using machines
- Diclofenac MCC has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
Contraindications:
Do not use Diclofenac MCC if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to diclofenac sodium, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
