What does the ointment consist of?

The herbal base of the scratch ointment is symphytum officinale. From a medicinal point of view, kostihoj has many medicinal substances: it contains mucilages, steroidal saponins, tannins, inulin, proteins and vitamin B12 . The leaves and especially the flowering tips of the console contain allantoin – a substance that promotes wound healing and has a mild anesthetic effect. Consol roots are rich in pyrrolizidine alkaloids. The base of the ointment is untainted, purified bacon , which is extracted with hot steam. It has excellent lubricating abilities , its composition resembles human fat and, at the same time, it is a high-quality carrier of medicinal substances contained in herbs. Kostihojová ointment is enriched with real beeswax , which has excellent protective and moisturizing properties and increases the resulting quality of the ointment.
