What is a wart?

Warts are a viral disease in the surface layer of the skin . The time between infection and the manifestation of the disease (formation of warts) varies, from several weeks to several months. Warts can be spread by contact of the virus with broken skin, especially where it is warm and humid. That is why one of the most common sources of infection are swimming pools.

How is the medicine used?

1) Remove the plaster and soak the wart or wart area in hot water for five minutes. 2) Dry with your own towel. 3) Carefully sand the surface of the wart with a pumice stone, coarse cloth or nail file (there should be no bleeding). 4) Using the applicator, apply the Duofilm preparation to the wart once a day, preferably in the evening before going to bed. 5) Use an amount of Duofilm preparation to cover the surface of the wart, but so that the medicine does not reach the surrounding healthy skin. 6) Let the Duofilm dry and then, if the wart is larger or located on the leg, cover with a plaster.

The medicine is usually applied once a day. It is used daily until the warts disappear completely (usually 6-12 weeks). If your skin symptoms do not disappear within 12 weeks, you should see a doctor. Duofilm is not intended for the treatment of warts covering a body surface of more than 5 cm² (about the size of a postage stamp).

What Duofilm contains:

Active ingredients: 1 ml of dermal solution contains 167 mg of salicylic acid and 150 mg of lactic acid. Another component: collodion 4%.
