Description
Espumisan is a medicine in the form of drops intended for adults and children over 1 month of age, which is used to treat disorders of the digestive tract. The active substance of the drug is simethicone, which causes gas bubbles contained in food and gastrointestinal mucus to burst. Gases can be absorbed through the intestinal wall or removed from the digestive tract as a result of intestinal peristaltic movements.
Espumisan for newborns and adults is used for the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal conditions such as flatulence and infantile intestinal colic in infants over 1 month of age. This medicine can also be used as a defoamer in surfactant poisoning and as an aid in the preparation of abdominal examinations, eg gastroscopy, radiological and ultrasound examinations.
