Ingredients:
- Cryo-Active™ (freezing agent)
- TCA-ActiveTM (based on trichloroacetic acid)
- Carbopol
- The water
Excilor® 2 in 1 Wart Treatment combines the 2 most common wart treatment methods for faster results. By rapidly freezing (-45℃) the center of the wart and exfoliating the infected skin, the thickened skin of the wart and the causative virus are removed and healthy skin will reappear. Thus, a higher cure rate is ensured than in the case of other products on the market(1), with a short treatment duration of only 5 days.
DuoActive technology combines cryotherapy and gel treatment in one device.
Way of ussage:
Day 1: Apply the cryotherapy product
- Adults and children: once only.
Day 2, 3, 4, 5: apply the gel treatment
- Adults: 1 application 2 times a day; Children aged between 4 and 12 years: 1 application per day.
When using it for the first time, treat a single wart first before treating multiple warts to see the effect on your skin.
Start treating another wart only if you have had no adverse reactions (usually within 5 days).
If there are several warts close together (no more than 1 cm apart), wait until the skin returns to normal before treating another wart (this can take up to 6 weeks).
If the wart does not disappear completely, the treatment can be repeated up to 3 times. Repeat the entire treatment regimen after a break period of at least 4 days to 1 week.
Note: If you are treating a wart covered with callus, it is recommended that you first soak the treated area in warm water for 5 minutes and gently scrub the callus with a file before treatment.
Benefits:
- Combined treatment for warts: product with freezing agent and a gel product, based on the active ingredient TCA-Active, thus acting both internally and externally.
- 5-day treatment for common warts and plantar warts.
- It can be used in children from the age of 4 years.
Precautions:
- EXCLUSIVELY for localized warts on hands and feet.
- Do not swallow or inhale the freezing agent; use the product only in well-ventilated areas.
- Use only with the foam provided.
- Do not press too hard when applying the foam to the wart.
- Apply the foam for a maximum of 20 seconds on a common wart and a maximum of 40 seconds on a foot wart. (See WHAT IS A NEG?)
- Do not apply the foam to the area around the wart.
- The foam is strictly for single use.
- Freezing agent is flammable and can cause frostbite on healthy skin.
- Do not hold the cryogenic tank near the face or over parts of the body or over clothing.
- Keep away from open flames, ignition sources, heat sources, direct sunlight and electrostatic and electrical sources. Do not expose the device to temperatures above 50 °C.
- Do not smoke or light cigarettes nearby.
- Do not puncture or set fire to the cryogenic tank, even after use.
- The treatment gel contains a corrosive acid.
- Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If the gel accidentally comes into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes, immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
- Avoid contact with healthy skin around the wart. You can use an ointment, such as petroleum jelly, to protect the surrounding area before applying the gel.
- If the gel accidentally comes into contact with healthy skin, immediately wash the area with plenty of soap and water to prevent irritation or burning of the healthy skin.
- If you have difficulty applying the gel accurately, for example on the sole of your foot, ask for help.
- Avoid contact of the gel with clothes, jewelry, fabrics or furniture, as it can damage them.
- Wash your hands (except the treated area) immediately after use. If you have treated a wart on your hands, wait 5 minutes.
- After use, a small amount of gel may remain in the device; therefore, caution is advised when closing and reopening the device.
- Do not expose the treated area to sunlight until the skin returns to normal. This can take between 4 and 6 weeks. In case of exposure to the sun, hyper- or hypo-pigmentation of the skin can occur.
- Do not touch or pull on treated skin as warts are contagious. Do not pull on the crust as it should fall off on its own.
- To maintain personal hygiene, the treatment must be used by one person only.
See your doctor if:
- the stinging sensation persists;
- the wart has not disappeared after 3 treatment cycles;
- have irritation, redness or pain.
Side effects:
- If used on healthy skin, a stinging, mild burning or soreness may occur in the treated area, which may cause skin damage.
If the stinging, burning or painful sensation continues until the next application, the treatment should be stopped.
- Complications occur in rare cases. In extremely rare cases, a permanent mark or scar may remain. These may be associated with conditions such as poor healing or an infection. If this happens, contact your doctor.
- As with all freezing methods, the skin may turn white for a while.
- Application of the freezing agent may cause a sensation of stinging, itching, pain during or after freezing, which subsides quickly after the area returns to normal temperature.
- Overexposure to the freezing product can cause damage to the upper layers of the skin, causing scarring, and/or can lead to nerve damage.
