Description
Oyster mushroom
A popular mushroom known for its characteristic appearance and taste. Because of its high beta-glucan content, the oyster mushroom has been popular and widely used in China for thousands of years. It grows naturally on wood, often on tree stumps and trunks. It is valued not only for its culinary properties, but also for its content of nutrients and bioactive substances, including beta-glucans. Oyster mushrooms are grown on cellulose-rich substrates such as wood chips or straw. The cultivation process is controlled to ensure the high quality and purity of the mushrooms. After harvesting, the oyster mushroom is dried at low temperatures to reduce the water content and preserve the bioactive components, which facilitates the subsequent extraction of beta glucans.
Heat breaks down beta glucans. The dried mushrooms are ground into a fine powder, which is then subjected to the extraction process. Water or ethanol extraction methods are usually used to isolate beta glucans from fungal cell walls. The extract is then filtered and concentrated to obtain pure beta glucan. Pure beta glucan is spray-dried or lyophilized to obtain a stable and easy-to-use powder. The freeze-drying process helps preserve the bioactive properties of beta glucans, as there is no thermal damage to the molecules. The gentle extraction process ensures high purity of the final product, which is important for its quality and effectiveness. Cold extracted beta glucans retain their solubility and stability.
Oyster mushroom extract 20~30% 1~3' beta-glucans (UV):
- This part of the description states that the product is obtained from oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus), a mushroom known for its high content of bioactive substances, including beta glucans.
- 20 ~ 30% - this number indicates the concentration of beta glucans in the extract, in particular it means that the extract contains from 20 to 30% beta glucans, this range gives information about the potential amount of bioactive component in the given extract
- 1~3' beta glucan - Beta glucans are polysaccharides that are composed of glucose molecules. The name "1~3'" refers to the type of glycosidic bond between the glucose units, in this case it means that the glucose molecules are connected by bonds between the first and third carbon atoms, this specific structure is the key to the bioactive properties of beta. glucans
- (UV) - indicates a high-quality oyster mushroom extract with a defined concentration of beta glucans analyzed by UV spectrophotometry, more precisely, it means that the concentration of beta glucans was determined using ultraviolet spectrophotometry (UV spectrophotometry), this analytical technique uses UV light to measure the absorbance of substances and is normally used for the quantitative analysis of bioactive compounds

The entire production process is certified by IFS Food
Why did we replace the ISO 22000:2018 certification with the IFS Food certificate? IFS Food is a globally recognized food safety and quality certification for quality audits of production processes and products. A single internationally recognized food standard makes it possible to ensure consistent, globally recognized food safety and the highest possible quality of food. German (HDE), French (FCD) and Italian (ANCC, ANCD) associations participated in the development of IFS standards in cooperation with manufacturers.
What does the IFS certification say?
- High quality of the raw materials used
- High standard of storage of raw materials
- Maximum quality of the entire production process
- It increases the credibility of products and brands around the world
