Groprinosin ® in tablets is an antiviral drug that increases the body's immunity (stimulates the immune system). The medicine is suitable for use in adults and children over 1 year of age*.
How does Groprinosin ® work?
The active substance of Groprinosin ® is inosine pranobex. This compound inhibits the in vitro multiplication of human pathogenic viruses of the Herpes group. Inosine pranobex is a synthetic derivative of purine. It also has immunostimulatory and antiviral effects, resulting from a clear stimulation of the host's immune response in vivo under the influence of the drug.
The indication for the use of Groprinosin ® tablets is herpes on the lips and on the skin of the face caused by the herpes simplex virus ( Herpes simplex ). The preparation can also be used as an adjuvant in people with reduced immunity, especially in the case of recurrent infections of the upper respiratory tract. Importantly, Groprinosin ® can only be used in patients who have been diagnosed with herpes simplex virus infection in the past.
