Description
Heviran ® Comfort Max is an antiviral drug intended for use in adults. The active substance of the drug is acyclovir, which has the ability to inhibit the reproduction of viruses of the Herpes group, pathogenic for humans and causing herpes.
Herpesviruses are a group of viruses that parasitize vertebrates. These pathogens are widespread among the human population. Eight species of herpes viruses can cause disease in humans. The most common is herpes simplex virus (HSV), including:
- HHV-1 (formerly HSV-1, herpes labialis ) which causes cold sores,
- HHV-2 (formerly HSV-2, genital herpes ) which causes genital herpes).
The indication for the use of Heviran ® Comfort Max tablets is to prevent the recurrence of herpes simplex in adults with normal immunity. The drug can only be used in patients who have been diagnosed with herpes simplex virus infection in the past.
