Description
Heviran ® Comfort Max is an antiviral drug indicated to prevent the recurrence of herpes simplex. The active substance of the drug is aciclovir, which inhibits the multiplication of human pathogenic viruses from the herpes group. Each tablet contains 400 mg of aciclovir ( Aciclovirum ).
Herpes simplex viruses, HSV ( herpes simplex virus , HHV-1 and HHV-2, human herpesvirus) are enveloped DNA viruses that belong to the herpesvirus family. The natural host of HSV is man, which is also the only source of infection, both in the presence of herpetic eruptions and in the case of asymptomatic infection.
The herpes simplex virus is most often spread by direct contact and can survive in the nerve cells of the infected body (so-called virus latency). The virus is activated under the influence of external factors (stress, cold, menstruation, body weakness, etc.), rarely spontaneously. Herpes virus infection is mainly manifested by inflammatory lesions at the edge of the skin and mucous membranes (around the lips and genitals), and, less often, by inflammation of the conjunctiva, cornea, skin or herpetic encephalitis.
Heviran ® Comfort Max 400 mg can only be used in patients who have been diagnosed with herpes simplex virus infection in the past. The preparation is used to prevent the recurrence of herpes simplex in adults with normal immunity.
