Chios or mastic gum, is a resin produced by the Pistăcia lentiscus tree (a perennial shrub from the pistachio family).

A very good quality mastic is obtained in the Greek island of Chios, in the Aegean Sea.

Since ancient times, mastic gum was highly valued for its medicinal properties especially for dyspepsia and intestinal disorders.

• The mastic, thanks to the essential oils rich in myrcene, has antioxidant properties, inhibiting the growth of bacteria
• It is an excellent disinfectant and cicatrizer of soft tissues in the oral cavity (gingivitis, periodontosis)
• Mastic Gum, being an excellent antacid, ensures the protection of the gastric and duodenal mucosa even in the case of Helicobacter pylori infection, being also useful in gastro-oesophageal reflux and fighting bad breath
• It can inhibit anarchic cell growth in the digestive tract.

Composition:

Gum mastic (Pistacia lentiscus) 0.300 g/pc.

Administration:

2 pcs. x 2/day, before meals, with a glass of Pi water or plain water.
