Mucoref Alugastrin is a medical device intended for the treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal and laryngopharyngeal reflux. Through the mechanical action of its ingredients, it prevents gastric acids from flowing towards the esophagus, reduces gastric hyperacidity, and protects the mucosa from the throat to the stomach from the irritating effects of heartburn and acidic regurgitation.

How does Mucoref Alugastrin work?

Mucoref Alugastrin has a multi-level action from the throat to the stomach:

• Protects the esophagus, throat and stomach: the Mucosave ^® complex (prickly pear leaf extract and European olive leaf extract) creates a protective layer covering the mucous membrane from the throat to the stomach.
• Inhibits reflux: alginate, when in contact with stomach acid, becomes a gel that prevents the backflow of acidic contents and inhibits reflux towards the esophagus.
• Reduces hyperacidity: carbonate reduces the acidity of gastric juice.
