Description
Prospan 35 mg/5 ml is a herbal medicine in the form of liquid sachets containing ivy leaf extract ( Hederae helicis folii extractum siccum ). The preparation is used as an expectorant in the so-called wet (productive) cough in children from 6 years and adults to liquefy retained secretions (secretolytic effect), reduce the spasm of bronchial smooth muscles (spasmolytic effect) and relieve cough.
Prospan liquid - active ingredients
The main active ingredients of dry ivy leaf extract are triterpenic saponins of a glycoside nature (α-hederin, hederagenin and hederacoside C). Thanks to its secretolytic and spasmolytic properties, the syrup helps to remove residual mucus from the respiratory tract, facilitating expectoration and thus relieves coughing, which can be a persistent physical effort that burdens the whole body.
Prospan 35 mg/5 ml liquid is placed in convenient sachets, allowing convenient administration of the medicine. The medicine does not require dilution.
