The macerate combines the properties of sunflower base oil and plant extract is characterized by a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, especially linoleic acid. This oil has healing and antibacterial properties, strengthens the lipid barrier of the skin, improves hydration, reduces inflammation and normalizes skin metabolism (linoleic acid is incorporated into cell membrane structures and used to produce properly built ceramides). Linoleic acid is also a natural component of sebum. In the case of people with acne and impure skin, a decrease in the content of linoleic acid in sebum has been observed, which causes the skin pores to become blocked and, as a result, the formation of numerous blackheads and pimples. Using linoleic acid on oily and acne-prone skin regulates the functioning of the sebaceous glands, unclogs skin pores and reduces blackheads. Calendula has anti-inflammatory, antiviral, anti-trichomonial (protozoal), antibacterial, detoxifying and anti-exudative properties; accelerates wound healing and skin formation.
