Description
Blue Schülke Wound Pad wound dressings are made of flexible polyurethane foam (PUR) with a coarse grain structure and a rough surface. Dressings are widely used in the care and cleaning of wounds with insufficient blood supply, infected wounds, as well as for biofilm removal (using Schülke Octenilin wound wash).
The use of Schülke Wound Pad polyurethane dressings improves blood circulation and oxygen supply to the tissues. This has a positive effect on the strength of the granulation and the spontaneous cleaning of the wound. Schülke Wound Pad sponges are widely used in wound treatment and care because they are highly breathable and are both strong and flexible.
Polyurethane dressings are available in sizes 6.25 cm x 4 cm x 2 cm.
Properties of the Schülke Wound Pad dressing
Schülke Wound Pad specialty dressings differ in structure (degree of roughness) and level of permeability to air and fluids. The blue polyurethane dressing has medium pores, a slightly rough structure and a medium fluid permeability coefficient.
