Properties:

• Lime is a tree that can live over 1,000 years. For some peoples it was the sacred tree of lovers that brought fertility and prosperity. To this day it has remained the remedy for cold, flu and fever.

Ingredients:
Lime flowers Tilia tomentosa Moench, Tilia cordata Miller, Tilia platyphyllos Scop., containing: mucilage, flavonoids, phenolic acids, hydroxycoumarins, essential oil (farnesol).

Effect:
Calming on the nervous system, sedative, anxiolytic, antistress, emollient, expectorant, spasmolytic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, sudorific, diuretic.

Main uses:
Diseases of the upper respiratory tract (cough, cold, bronchitis), fever, nervousness, restlessness, insomnia.

Other uses:
Migraines, intestinal colic.

Contraindications:
The recommended doses are not known.

Preparation:

• Internal use: 1-2 teaspoons of plant per 250 ml of water, boil for 2-3 minutes and leave the pot covered for 10-15 minutes.
• External use: add 4-6 spoons to 1 liter of water, boil for 2-3 minutes, and leave the bowl covered for 10-15 minutes, then pour into bath water.
