Regular inhalation of lemon essential oil keeps the mind light and fresh. On a physical level, the oil relieves infections and respiratory problems. It has antibacterial and antiviral effects. It is traditionally used as an immune system booster. Massage blends with this essential oil relieve headaches and reduce tension.

Use in cosmetics and household cleaning products:

• Homemade skin brightening oils and creams suitable for daily skin care (use a concentration of no more than 2% essential oil)
• Natural cleaning products (home kitchen and bathroom cleaners, home products for washing floors, dishes and toilets)

This oil freshens the air very well. It has significant antibacterial and antiviral effects. It's great for making homemade toilet scents or laundry fresheners.

Dosage for adults:

• Add 9 drops to an aroma lamp or diffuser to infuse approximately 100 m2 of surface area
• In body cosmetics and massage oils, do not add more than 3 drops per 10 ml of vegetable oil or cream

For pregnant women, sensitive people and older children, use a lower dose. For children under 2 years of age, use this oil only for inhalation and in very small amounts.

Aromatherapist Tip: When mixing different types of oils, you can use more of this essential oil for inhalations, but for adults, double the amount at most. The oil evaporates quickly, so add it more often to the aroma lamp and diffuser. Adding a few drops of organic lemon essential oil to a blend of other oils can lighten the effect of heavier oils such as organic cedar essential oil, pine resin, or tea tree.

Use

This essential oil is phototoxic. This means that the skin may react to light after use (eg irritation or redness). When using a concentration greater than 2% on the skin of the body, protect it from sunlight, the effects of a tanning bed or the sharp glacial sun (this is also the light reflected by snow or ice). The risk of a phototoxic reaction lasts 12 hours after applying this essential oil to the skin. If you want to prevent the occurrence of unwanted reactions, apply preparations with this oil to the skin in the evening before going to bed.

A possible risk is oxidized oil, which can irritate the skin. For topical use (anywhere on the skin), use only fresh oil, no more than 1 year old. Always store the oil well, preferably in a cool room out of sunlight in a tightly closed bottle. Do not open the bottle too often, exposing the oil to air accelerates oxidation.

Use the essential oil within 1 year of opening. After this time, do not use the therapeutic oil (for the body or for inhalations), but only for cleaning the house.

Never use essential oils internally. Do not use undiluted on the skin. Protect eyes and mucous membranes. Protect from children.
