Venotrex is a medicine in the form of capsules intended for adults. Indications for the use of the drug are varicose veins in the lower limbs, a feeling of heaviness in the legs and nocturnal leg cramps. The preparation can also be used in case of intensification of symptoms related to hemorrhoids.
How does Venotrex 200 mg capsules work?
Each Venotrex Teva capsule contains 200 mg of troxeuritin, which is a mixture of four different o-ß-hydroxyethylrutosides. Troxerutin is a semi-synthetic derivative of rutin that protects blood and lymphatic vessels. In addition, o-β-hydroxyethylrutosides, as active substances in troxerutin, have a protective effect on the capillary walls, reducing the permeability of small vessels, which, in turn, contributes to the reduction of edema. These compounds also increase the tension and elasticity of blood vessels, preventing them from breaking.
