Omegacore
Description Omegacore
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.at team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Omegacore is a premium food supplement based on concentrated fish oil, designed to support cardiovascular health thanks to its high content of natural Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, particularly EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), in the form of triglycerides.
Möller’s Omegacore stands out for having one of the highest concentrations of natural Omega-3s available on the market, providing 1320 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids in just 2 capsules, alongside a high level of purity and freshness guaranteed by Möller’s tradition and quality standards.
Forms of release
Möller’s Omegacore is available in easy-to-administer gelatin capsules, each containing high-purity fish oil. The pack contains 60 capsules, a quantity suitable for a course of treatment of varying duration, depending on the recommended daily dose and individual requirements.
The formulation ensures the stability of the fatty acids, protecting them from oxidation and maintaining optimal bioavailability.
Indications for use
Moller’s Omegacore is particularly recommended in the following clinical and paraclinical situations:
- Hypertriglyceridaemia, as a nutritional adjunct with a proven effect in reducing serum triglycerides;
- Elevated total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, as part of strategies to reduce cardiovascular risk;
- Arterial hypertension, thanks to its modest but consistent effects in supporting endothelial function and regulating blood pressure;
- Prevention of cardiovascular disease in people with multiple risk factors (obesity, diabetes mellitus, sedentary lifestyle).
Daily intake of natural Omega-3 over prolonged periods has been associated with a significant reduction in triglycerides, cholesterol regulation, maintenance of normal blood pressure and improved blood circulation, thanks to its systemic anti-inflammatory effect.
Dosage regimen
The recommended daily dose is 2–6 capsules per day, to be taken with sufficient liquid, preferably with meals.
The dosage may be adjusted according to the therapeutic objective. For patients with hypertriglyceridaemia, the intake of high doses of Omega-3 (up to 4000 mg/day of EPA + DHA) is approved by the Food and Drug Administration and may be combined with conventional therapies such as statins or fibrates.
Contraindications
Omegacore Mollers capsules are contraindicated in people with known hypersensitivity to fish or to any of the product’s components.
Caution is also advised in patients with coagulation disorders or those on anticoagulant therapy, in whom administration should only take place on the advice of a doctor.
Special considerations
A key feature of Omegacore is the use of EPA and DHA in the form of natural triglycerides, a form that leads to a faster and more effective increase in the Omega-3 index compared to synthetic ethyl esters, at the same dosage.
The American Heart Association recommends a minimum intake of 1000 mg of EPA + DHA per day for patients with coronary heart disease, and daily consumption of at least 1000 mg of natural Omega-3 is associated with a reduction of approximately 35% in the risk of fatal myocardial infarction. The benefit increases in proportion to the dose administered, within safe limits.
Side effects
In general, Omegacore is well tolerated. Mild digestive reactions may occasionally occur, such as fishy-tasting burps, nausea or abdominal discomfort, particularly at high doses. These symptoms can be reduced by taking the capsules with meals.
Interactions with other medicines and food
Omegacore may be administered alongside standard lipid-lowering therapies, acting as an adjunct.
However, in patients receiving anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy, monitoring is required, as high doses of Omega-3 may slightly enhance the anticoagulant effect.
No significant food interactions are known.
Overdose
Overdose is rare and generally manifests as gastrointestinal disturbances. Adherence to the recommended doses prevents the occurrence of significant adverse reactions. In the event of accidental ingestion of very high doses, it is recommended that you stop taking the supplement and consult a doctor.
Storage conditions
The product should be stored in its original packaging at room temperature, protected from light and moisture, and kept out of the reach of children. The expiry date is shown on the packaging.
