How to use

Brita Vital water filter bottle - how to use?

Before first use, wash the filter bottle (without the MicroDisc filter disc) with water and a mild detergent or in the dishwasher.
Before using the Brita MicroDisc for the first time, rinse both sides of the disc thoroughly under running warm water for about 30 seconds to remove any activated carbon particles and increase the water flow through the filter.
Unscrew the MicroDisc cover and insert the disc, then close the cover.

Fill the bottle with tap water - the Vital filter bottle is ready to use.
If the filter bottle will not be used for a long time, please disassemble it and store it in a dry place.

How to clean the Brita Vital filter bottle?

The Vital filter bottle should be washed regularly by hand or in the dishwasher.
Before washing, remove the MicroDisc filter disc and place it on a clean surface.
To ensure optimal hygiene, place the MicroDisc in a glass and pour boiling water over it once a week. If the MicroDisc filter disc floats to the surface, press it down with a spoon. After 5 minutes, you can reinsert the MicroDisc into the filter. Be sure to handle the disc and bottle with clean hands.

The Vital Brita filter bottle can only be used for cold tap water (between 4°C and 40°C) from your local water source.
MicroDisc is a natural product, so this can cause small carbon particles to enter the glass and filtered water. These particles do not have a negative impact on health. If swallowed, they will not harm health. If you notice carbon particles, it is recommended to thoroughly rinse the MicroDisc filter on both sides.
To ensure hygiene and optimal filtration performance, Brita recommends replacing the MicroDisc filter disc every four weeks. In some regions, tap water containing particles can significantly reduce water flow. In such cases, it is recommended to replace the MicroDisc more often.
Spare MicroDisc filters should be stored in a cool, dry place away from moisture.
Used MicroDisc glass and filters should be disposed of with municipal waste.
