Menthae aetheroleum
Ingredients: Essential oil obtained from the aerial parts of the species Mentha piperita (fam. Lamiaceae), which contains menthol, menthone, menthofuran, isomenthone.
Effect: Digestive stimulant, antiemetic, antidiarrheal, antispasmodic, carminative, anti-infective, anti-inflammatory, choleretic-cholagogue, decongestant, expectorant, analgesic, antipruritic, repels insects.
Use: Internal use: the recommended doses (according to the table) are mixed with a teaspoon of honey. In the case of diabetics, the administration is done on a piece of bread. The oil is administered for 7-14 days. The treatment can be repeated after a break of 2 weeks.
External use: Inhalations, aromatherapy candle, massage, bath, compresses.
Contraindications: Not recommended for pregnant women and nursing mothers and in case of hypersensitivity to mint. Peppermint essential oil is always used diluted!
