Squalane:

EpiSqualan is a very gentle ear cleaner with a powerful cerumen (earwax) dissolving effect that also has skin-conditioning properties. Even very stubborn and dry earwax is dissolved, while the underlying skin is simultaneously softened and made supple again. EpiSqualan is particularly suitable for ear cleaning in cases of heavy earwax production and for cerumenolysis prior to ear canal irrigation. EpiSqualan contains no ototoxic ingredients.

Composition:
Squalane, Arachis Hypogaea Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Vitamin E.

Application:
Fill the ear canal with EpiSqualan and gently massage the base of the ear for a few minutes to loosen and flush out the earwax. Carefully remove any discharge with a cotton ball or gauze (do not use cotton swabs). Dry the outer areas of the ear canal and the outer ear thoroughly.

Notes:
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If the eardrum is not visible or is slightly damaged, a veterinarian should consider whether physiological saline solution or episqualane (administered drop by drop) should be used to clean the pathologically soiled external ear canal.

Practical tip:
If, despite heavily cerumen-clogged ears, ear flushing under sedation is not desired, then, after veterinary assessment in individual cases, the daily drop-by-drop application of EpiSqualan over 5 days can effectively remove cerumen and other organic material from the ears.
