Orthosis for hand and finger Actimove GauntletIt is an orthosis for the wrist and thumb used in the treatment of minor and moderate injuries or for the treatment of chronic instability problems of the thumb.
Properties:
- it is indicated in tendinitis of the thumb (for example, Quervain's syndrome), rheumatoid arthritis, dislocations of the thumb, fracture of the thumb, treatment of scaphoid fractures;
- provides a good fit for the patient and comfort;
- allows good blood circulation;
- offers excellent support and optimal positioning for the wrist and thumb;
- can be adjusted to suit the clinical needs of the patient or for better fixation;
- washable braces can be removed;
- the edge of the braces fits into the palmar fold;
- contoured to the ulnar aspect of the hand so that there is no pressure;
- the large coverage of the dorsal part of the hand limits the expansion of the wrist and prevents swelling.
Way of ussage:
1. Adjust the support that supports the wrist and thumb according to the anatomical requirements or according to the injury.
2. Place your hand and thumb over the open splint.
3. Fix the hook closure strips as shown in the pictures.
